4 Diet Tips For Rapid Weight Loss

By
Without an eating plan that works, your weight loss won't work. There is a common fitness phrase that says, "you cannot OUT-RUN a bad diet", which explains exactly how important an effective eating plan is.

No matter how much you exercise, it will be very challenging to lose weight unless you change your diet. There are endless different diets and diet advice out there which makes it really easy to get lost in the ocean of different ideas. In addition, if you don't have a simple plan that works, you will drown in it all because every week there seems to be a new fitness idea coming out.

Therefore, I've created a list of four major diet tips that will help you to lose weight quickly. These are based on five years of training a wide variety of personal training clients. I learned that once my clients followed these diet guidelines they found success. Of course, there are plenty of other guidelines that you could add to this list, but these are the most effective and simple one's that I've found.

Step 1 - Plan Your Meals:

Many people cheat on their diet because they don't know what to eat at a given time. They didn't pre-plan their meal so they aren't prepared when it times to eat. So, when they get really hungry, they have no choice but to get something really fast to satisfy the hunger. And, this is usually a dish filled with unhealthy choices. However, when you plan your meals, you will always know what to eat which will help you to make better choices.

Meal planning is also really EASY.

All you have to do is think about what you want to eat the day before. There is no need to be perfect though. All you need to do is write on a piece of paper or in your smart phone, a summary of the what you would like to eat the next day and where you will get it from. Once you plan your meals consistently for some time, it will become second nature and you will no longer have to write anything down anymore.

Step 2 - Reduce Refined Carbohydrates From Your Diet:
Many people think that high fat diets is really what makes them gain weight. However, the real culprit is carbohydrates. More specifically, refined carbohydrates, which includes, white rice, bagels, white breads, processed sweets etc. These are basically foods that were stripped of most of the natural ingredients found in nature. These food affects your weight loss in the biggest way because your body doesn't know how to break them down. Therefore, your body converts these carbs to fat which is stored in your fat cells. If this continues for a long period of time, weight loss becomes even harder.

Why?

Because your body eventually becomes more and more insulin resistant. This means that your body doesn't produce enough insulin to take the sugar in the carbohydrates from your bloodstream. To ensure that this doesn't happen to you, make sure that you are consuming more complex carbohydrates such as, sweet potato, brown rice, fruits and vegetables etc.

Step 3 - Eat More:

This sounds contracting because our focus here is weight loss yet I am telling you to eat more. What I really mean though is that you should consume more small meals more often. The model I recommend is 4-5 meals per day. Breakfast should be a big meal because it is your jumpstart in the morning. However, the other four meals could be a little smaller. You can also eat the traditional three big meal while adding 1 small snack between each big meal.

Step - 4 Keep a Balance:

This goes without saying but "balance is the spice of life." Many people like to go all in with their diet and eliminate all of their favorite delights instantly. However, this usually seems to cause more havoc in the end because many of these people will eventually start craving these foods even more at some point. Rather, try to build a solid foundation by doing things a little slower. Instead of giving up white rice altogether, cut down to 1 scoop which will eventually make it easier to let if go altogether in the future.

A great way to keep a good balance is to substitute your cheat foods with organic delights. Therefore, if you love chocolate a lot, try going to an organic store and picking some organic choices. This will be a lot more healthy for you because it has more healthy ingredients in it.

And, you are still getting the good taste out of it.
______

In the end, it is all about creating a good relationship with food. Make sure you are eating to LIVE and not living to EAT.

3 Tips For Weight Loss For Women

By

A woman's hormones are different to a man so women do need different diet tips. Hormones affect appetite control, metabolism and weight loss. A woman has to deal with weight loss problems that men don't. Here are 3 key tips for weight loss for women that will help you to focus on your personal weight loss goals.

1. Your Head Can Tell You That You're Hungry (When Really You're Not).

The first of these diet tips for women relates to research published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Here women who were involved in the research stated they were not hungry when looking at, smelling or tasting desserts like chocolate cake or cinnamon rolls. But their brains registered the desire to eat them.

Men, in contrast, did not have this issue. Women should also recognize that premenstrual syndrome (PMS) can lead to cravings for sweet foods. If you do have cravings, try and plan for them. For instance, dark chocolate helps to manage your chocolate cravings as it is very rich and you only need small amounts to get that chocolate satisfaction.

2. After Exercise Hunger.

Another problem women have to deal with that men do not is a large increase in a hormone that tells you that you're hungry right after a workout. Therefore, that urge you get to start eating snacks right after you have done some exercise is not in your imagination. Research reveals that this might be due to evolution.

Women are designed to make sure they remain fertile, and one of the ways your body tries to do this is by making sure that you don't run out of calories to burn. Some elite female athletes have injections to stop their monthly menstrual cycle to help curb that desire to eat after an intense training regime. This, of course is not a recommended solution.

Some of the best diet snacks can be made by cleaning, cutting up and storing fruits and vegetables, so they can be grabbed quickly after your workout. That way you are not tempted to open that bag of potato chips or packet of cookies.

3. Building Muscles Doesn't Mean Being Bulky.

In the same way that women are designed to protect their reproductive systems, men are designed to have less body fat and more muscle, partly due to their primary hormone, testosterone. Strength or resistance training to build muscles is often ignored when looking at tips for weight loss for women.

Women worry that if they try to build muscles they will end up looking like a bulky male body builder. But big muscles are built with the help of testosterone, a hormone that is predominate in men and very much lower in women. Even women who do an intense weight training regime everyday can't build the bulky muscles to match male bodybuilders.Regular resistance training on your upper body, lower body and core will add lean mass to your physique and you'll burn more calories on a daily basis.

Learn Some Secrets To Weight Loss Success

By

A lot of people want to lose weight.

The biggest problem that people have is they do not have any accurate information on how to achieve this. The advice in the following article will help you lose weight. If you are patient and committed, you will be able to reach your targeted weight very quickly.

The best time to workout is in the morning, before eating. Studies show that working out first thing in the morning burns calories faster than if done at other times of the day.

Chunky soups are a great addition to a successful weight loss plan.

Drinking calories is not a good idea. If you eat chunky soups that are full of healthy vegetables and beans, you will feel fuller longer.

You can't resist french fries, can you? They've gotten in the way of many people's weight loss goals.

Try baking your french fries to continue with your weight loss.

Slice your potatoes about a half an inch and mix them with oil, put some pepper and salt on them, try a little rosemary and bake them at 400. Gently loosen and turn the fries with a spatula, then bake for a final 10 minutes. They are wonderful with ketchup, and they are also much lower in calories of fat. You will not miss the fried version. These fries are a terrific addition to anyone's recipe box.

Come up with helpful habits for weight loss rather than trying to prevent your bad habits.

If you put your focus on changing in a positive way, you are more likely to stick to your diet. Don't think so much about what you can't have, but focus on exchanging something good - like a fruit smoothie - for that sausage and egg morning biscuit you used to pick up. Replacing bad habits with good ones is much easier than trying to eliminate the habit altogether.

Set aside enough time in the morning to eat breakfast. When trying to rush out, it can be too easy to grab something that is bad for you to eat it on the way. However, these foods contain empty calories.

If you eat oatmeal and some fruit in the morning at home, you will not have a reason to grab a high-calorie breakfast pastry.

Enlist the help of a friend when you exercise. This helps you to socialize so that you are having fun while burning calories. Your friend can help encourage you and vice versa. It is a great way to connect with your friends and you will start to really enjoy exercising as you shed those pounds.

To chart your progress, take before and after pictures during the course of your diet. This is a much more graphic way to acknowledge the newer thinner you rather than simply reading a number on the scale. You can also show your friends and family your progress if you use pictures.

Carefully consider your beverage choices during a weight loss program.

Many liquids except water have calories in them. If you drink juices, alcohol or sodas, you may be taking in more calories than you anticipated. Don't forget to count what you drink in your calorie tally for the day.

Use the stairs. Don't use the elevator, no matter how many flights you need to go up. This is an excellent cardio workout and can help you lose weight. This is healthy and helps with weight loss.

Once walking upstairs is easy, move up to running, carefully.

You should give the advice from this article a shot if you wish to speed up your weight loss efforts.

Using the guidance in this piece can help you get the body you want. You will be starting on a new and healthy you while working towards your goals with weight loss.

Vegetable Juicing Recipes for Weight Loss

By

There are an endless number of different weight loss diets and methods we can choose from these days. Some are proven to work and some aren't. Some are natural while others are highly synthetic and should be avoided.

One or another of them may work better for us than others. However, low calorie or other restrictive diets can leave us short of the nutrition we need to be healthy.

If we include juicing to our diet we will supply ourselves with an abundance of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, living enzymes and phytonutrients that can leave us feeling healthy and happier about ourselves. This basic principle is something on which all weight loss practitioners agree upon. These jucies recipes have previously worked and may continue to work because its "natural"

Juice Vegetables

When it comes to weight loss, vegetable juicer recipes have a distinct advantage over fruit juicer recipes. Vegetable juices are more substantial than fruit juices.

Vegetables like tomatoes and carrots can produce a thicker soup like juice that can help you feel more full. Drinking a vegetable juice just before a meal can help improve the feeling of satiety and can also make a great choice for a snack.

Fruit juicer recipes are much higher in sugar than vegetable juices. This gives vegetable juices two distinct advantages over fruit juices when it comes to dieting.

1) The sugar content of fruit juices makes them considerably higher in calories than vegetable juices.

Some vegetables are called negative calorie foods. This means that the body requires more energy (calories) to digest these foods than the actual foods provide us! Good examples of such vegetables are asparagus, broccoli and dark leafy greens.

2) The sugar in fruit juices will cause a spike in blood sugar levels followed by a crash that will leave us feeling hungry and irritable.

Some vegetables can provide a diuretic effect that can offload us of excessive water in our cells. This can help us shift a little weight and feel less bloated.

Celery and especially asparagus are diuretic vegetables. A word of warning if you juice asparagus - it will make your urine smell obnoxious! This is normal when you drink asparagus juice and is not a cause for concern!

Spicy Fat Burners

There are spices that we can mix into our juicing recipes that have fat burning effects. Hot spices such as chili powder, cayenne, pepper, all spice, cardamom and coriander all have stimulating effects upon the metabolism. This is can help us shed a few extra calories - every little helps!

I am a living example of success in Weight Loss endeavors. I used 3 Week Diet System to lose up to 20 pounds in less than 20 days!

Top 10 Superfoods Particularly for Weight Loss

By

Before I detail out - particularly for weight loss - top 10 superfoods (among many others), let me tell you something. I am in the health and fitness industry for more than 25 years now; such vast experience has made me realize the fact that weight loss, weight gain or weight maintenance (overall good health) directly depends on the given four factors that are vital and keep diseases at bay.

* Eat everything - each and every veggie, fruit, fish, dry fruit, meat, poultry, grain, legume, lentil, even oil, butter, cheese, clarified butter, salt, sugar, coffee, tea - all have one or the other health benefit. If you want to eat healthy and lead a healthy lifestyle, it is still not late; BUT you must have knowledge about the benefits. This knowledge is not only for you, but for your future generation also - you have to show them the correct way to a fit and healthy life. Yes, if a person suffers from some major health issue(s), then obviously he or she has to be temporarily careful with what to eat and what not to eat. This is a different story altogether.

* Eat in "moderation" - yes, this is the KEY to a good, nutritious, healthy lifestyle.

* Eat home - cooked food - whenever possible; BUT make sure you cook nutritious food (and not fast/junk food!)

* Say NO to processed food - I know we all are leading busy life and it is not always possible to keep a check on whether we are eating processed or unprocessed food. Still, try to avoid eating processed foods as much as you can - for your own good health to start with.

Well, you must add these top 10 superfoods to your diet, if not daily diet - at least thrice a week - and feel the difference (provided you don't eat junk or empty - calorie foods with superfoods). But of course, you have to give time - don't expect miraculous weight loss overnight!

Top 10 Superfoods to add to Diet for Weight Loss

Yes, you have read it correct; add these nutrition - dense superfoods to your diet ASAP to derive maximum health benefits - especially where weight loss is concerned.

Superfoods #1: Broccolis

This veggie tops my list of superfoods and is included in my daily diet. It is an excellent source of fiber, manganese, vitamin K, vitamin C, and folate. High amount of vitamin C in broccoli acts as an excellent immune booster and folate helps maintain good heart health. The fiber promotes excellent digestive health and helps lower LDL.

Eating broccoli daily helps in reducing inflammation of muscles, especially in people who are very much into sports and gym.

Superfoods #2: Beans (powerhouse of nutrition)

Beans (be it kidney, spherical, white, black, string - whatever) have always been compared to meat in terms of calories and have been considered to be meat substitute. An excellent source of protein, iron, fiber and water, beans help in weight loss in a healthy way. Out of all the types of beans available, white beans steal the show where iron content is concerned - it is very high.

You can either cook beans separately or mix beans with some other foods - either way, it is very healthy.

For that matter, even fresh green beans are good and help in weight loss.

Superfoods #3: Nuts

I have found that most people, who are trying to lose weight, are scared to eat nuts - pistachios, cashew nuts, walnuts and almonds. Nuts have somehow been blamed as that which "adds to bodyweight". It is true if you go overboard with nuts that have 80 per cent fat and very high calorie contentand overeat; it is not true if you eat nuts in moderation.Nuts are powerhouse of protein, vitamins and minerals, and the fat content is to some extent healthy for people with heart disease.

Out of all the nuts available, almonds have the lowest calorie content. Rich in calcium, vitamin E and fiber, almonds improve your skin condition and texture, and helps fight cancer. A daily dose of 6 to 8 almonds is beneficial for good health.

Therefore, if you are scared to eat nuts, leave your fear aside where almonds are concerned.

Superfoods #4: Salmons

Known as a fish with too much fat content, know that this "too much fat" is very healthy as it has very high omega 3 fatty acid content. This fat actually helps in lowering your LDL (by increasing the levels of HDL that helps in removing LDL from the arteries) and heart - related diseases.

Superfoods #5: Spinach

Rich in vitamins C, A and K, in protein and iron and with very calorie, spinach is an excellent veggie that helps in weight loss. Otherwise also, it is very helpful for health, especially for those who suffer from anemia. You can eat it in any form - raw, cooked, soup, salad, whatever way you like - it works wonders.

Superfoods#6: Cabbages

Yet another veggie for people who are on weight loss, it is known to contain vitamins C and K in high quantity, and folate. It helps keep RBCs very healthy. You can eat it in any form - raw, cooked, soup, salad, whatever way you like.

Superfoods #7: Carrots

If you want to boost and improve your immune system and also lose weight, this veggie has enough vitamins B6 and A, and carotene as an excellent healthy food.

Superfoods #8: Blackberries

Known to help in losing weight, the low - calorie blackberries contain vitamins K and C, fiber, and are excellent antioxidants. Blackberries are good breakfast option.

Superfoods #9: Red & White Grapefruits

Yet another fruit (both red and white) known to shed extra weight, red grapefruits contain vitamins C and A, and pantothenic acid. This acid helps the body to transform the macronutrients (carbs, fats and proteins) in great sources of energy.

White grapefruits contain potassium (helps with muscle cramps), vitamin C and folate. Both red and white are excellent breakfast option.

Superfoods #10: Green Tea

My all - time favorite! Excellent to reduce visceral fat round the belly, green tea is a powerhouse of antioxidants and EpiGalloCatechinGallate (EGCG). This EGCG is known to prevent growth of certain cells that cause cancer.

Drink it any time of the day but without adding milk and sugar; my personal suggestion would be not to drink green tea after 7 pm - it may disrupt your sleep.

Start with these top 10 superfoods for weight loss and add to your diet.

To take care of weight loss, simple foods that are easily available in the market, would help. Of course, you must know when to eat them, what should be the quantity and what's the nutrition value of each.

5 Simple Tips to Long Term Weight Loss

By

It's something about the New Year entering and the summer season approaching that drives the average woman to start looking for quick weight loss tricks and pills. At times it's as if women care more about their appearance than they do about their health, I mean why else would you take diet pills that deceive your mind into thinking you're not hungry when you body is actually in starvation mode. Why else would women take pills that are new to the market or barely tested in order to attract the attention of others? These are just a few reasons each year the same women who reach their desired weight or get close to it by summer end up carrying double the weight by the end of Fall.

A lack of self-discipline and appreciation for one's body is the quickest way to set yourself up for failure in the future. It's time to end the cycle of deception! Living off protein shakes, being the neighborhood cardio queen and cheating with diet pills is not the way to sustain long-term health.

What's the point of getting to your ideal weight or body image if you can only maintain it a few months? You get what you work for! Always remember that.

What are you willing to do to transform you for a lifetime?

1. Realize It's A Mind Game - Losing weight is mental, as soon as you say to yourself "I've got to lose weight" your mind goes into survival mode. Your mind wants to hold onto to anything that belongs to you. Think about cleaning out your closet! Most of us will keep clothing we haven't worn in over a year simply because we think we're going to need it in the future. Our mind feels the same about our fat, its our protection and the mind feels we'll need it in the future. When you say to yourself "I am releasing excess waste from my body", your mind then works with you helping to rid toxins from the body, ease unhealthy cravings and gather the energy needed to exercise. The mind wants you to survive and waste, well that will kill you. You must exercise both your physical and mental self in order to be successful.

2. Get Water Wasted - Drink water on an hourly basis, the more water you drink the more toxins you are able to release through your urine. Many times when we feel hungry, its merely our body crying out for water. The more water you drink, the less hungry you will feel. That's in addition to healthier, vibrant skin that glows from miles away.

3. Set Weekly Activity Goals - Shift your focus from what you desire to achieve and focus solely on what you are willing to do in order to make it happen. Enjoy the journey of watching your body transform before your eyes! The journey builds mental endurance making it easier for you to set goals and stick to them in the future. The journey is what makes reaching the destination truly matter.

Each week you should schedule 3 workout sessions, all of which include a variety of exercises. And at least 1 childlike fitness session such as hulu hooping, kickball, dodgeball, etc. Make time to play, the more you play the less you weigh.

4. Let Thy Food Be Thy Medicine - Eat to live, don't live to eat. Would you stop to put more gas in your car if it's already full? Would you put cheap gas in your Jaguar? Your body is your vehicle in life, your only mode of transportation. There is no amount of money can pay to correct your body once you have destroyed it. The best western medicine can do is replace your organs or put you on medication for the rest of your life. Fuel your body with the best living foods possible, at least 80% of your meal should consist of vegetables and fruit.

5. Strength/Resistance Train - The cardio queens shiver in fear of such advice, they say things like 'I don't want to look like a man' or 'I don't want to be bulky'. I assume they'd rather be flabby! Cardio is to benefit your cardiovascular system so without weight training, cardio your muscles turn to flab.

Flab is the reason a 150lb woman looks 180lbs, meanwhile a woman who lifts can be 190lbs and look sleek, tone and feminine. Don't believe the hype! The more muscle you build, the more fit you look and the more food you can take in. Muscles burn calories even when you're in chill mode. Rest on that!

Fight Harmful Effects of Weight Loss on Your Skin

By

Weight loss is an admirable achievement that ought to be celebrated but some people may have to contend with loose & flabby skin as a result of losing a large amount of weight. It may feel as if you've won in one area and lost in another! This is not the case.

There are natural methods that can increase skin's elasticity and tighten the flabby areas over time.

The results will depend on how much weight you've actually lost and the length of time your skin was stretched out as well as your age.

Some valuable tips on tightening your skin after weight loss are as follows:

MONITOR WEIGHT LOSS.

Curb your weight loss just enough to allow your skin to adjust to it. Maintain your weight and your skin will shrink to fit your new size. Continuously losing weight can cause your skin to lose elasticity.

INCREASE WATER INTAKE.

Drinking water improves your overall health and will also help your skin become tighter, smoother and more radiant. Drink at least 6 glasses of water daily. Hydration is healthy for your skin and helps with its elasticity.

WEIGHT TRAINING HELPS.

Strength training strengthens muscles and creates a layer of muscle underneath the skin. Thus, your skin becomes tighter. You should perform weight training three times per week to benefit your muscles and skin. Weight training is especially important if you have dropped your caloric intake because when you lose fat, you often lose muscle as well.

MOISTURIZE YOUR SKIN.

Utilize a vitamin E enriched moisturizer and your skin will stay moist. This allows new skin cells to grow. Moisturizing also helps to minimize wrinkles. Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer and has antibacterial properties to soothe the skin. It is often used in commercial and DIY body lotions, but it can be used on its own as well.

LIMIT EXPOSURE TO THE SUN.

Too much time in the sun will have a negative effect on your skin's elasticity. Avoid tanning beds as the rays can dry out and damage the skin cells.Limit your time swimming in chlorinated water, as the chlorine can also dehydrate and damage skin cells. Be sure to shower after swimming or sunbathing.

PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE.

If dealing with flabby or loose skin, it is important to be patient as your body adapts to fit your new size. Keep in mind how much weight you've lost and if your skin may be able to return to its original state.

Elasticity reacts differently at different stages in life. A young mother who just gave birth and is contending with loose skin may only require little bit of effort to tighten up the skin. For a 50 year old who has just lost weight in a short amount of time, the skin may not get back to its original state due to age.

It is important to realiom/?expert=Yasir_Razaze this and accept it. Appreciate yourself for losing weight and accept your skin's condition in the process of tightening it.

Approaching Weight Loss With The Correct Mindset

By
Are you looking for painless weight loss? If you have tried various diet programs in the hope of getting into shape, you might have realized how difficult and painful most of these diet programs are. They promise to make you slim in few weeks but when you start the dieting plan you will encounter one challenge after another. Sticking to these difficult diet plans is next to impossible. There are dozens of restrictions on what you can eat and what you can't eat, when you can eat etc. All these restrictions make it impractical to follow the diet plan for many days.

On the other hand, there are some women who try to lose weight through rigorous workouts. They will run for miles or spend hours on the treadmill. But again many women won't be unable to continue this for many days. So what is the solution? What is the secret to achieving successful, long-term weight loss?

The first step towards successful weight loss is working on your mindset so that you set realistic, achievable goals rather than going for the impossible. Realize that you have been stuffing your body with unhealthy foods and have not been getting much physical activity from many years. All this may not be changed within a few days. You have to introduce changes in your lifestyle gradually so that they can stick. If you try to change all at once, those changes may not stick with you for long. Very soon you will find yourself back with your old habits.

So the trick is not to overburden yourself. The interesting thing is that when people try to lose weight really fast, they will usually not be successful in that and may in fact spend years trying one dieting program after another but the weight loss will elude them. On the other hand, people who try to lose weight slowly and steadily by changing their eating and lifestyle habits gradually may find weight loss much easier in the long run. These people can not only lose weight successfully but also manage to keep it off. When it comes to weight loss, slow and steady approach is the best.

You can lose weight without dieting. Instead of starving yourself, try to eat healthy foods which are low in calories but are rich in nutrients. Try to include those foods in your diet which are known to be natural fat burners. Don't give up your meals but give up unhealthy and junk food. Cut down on sweets and soda drinks, drink plenty of water and have a regular sleep schedule.

In order to get sufficient amount of physical activity needed for your fitness and well-being, do something that you enjoy. If you hate spending hours at the gym, find some other physical activity that you enjoy which could also help in burning fat. Cycling, swimming, walking, horse riding, skipping are examples of such activities.

4 Times To Do Exercises For Weight Loss

By
Choosing the suitable time to take exercise for weight loss is the most effective way to help our body burn calories.

Using any time you have to do exercise and burn calories is really necessary. However, you should arrange time to make a specific schedule and have the essential exercise to help you burn fat effectively. These are 4 certain times you should choose to make your weight loss exercise succeed and burn calories faster.

Taking exercise before your meeting

Doing some simple movements like sitting at one place, then taking a deep breath; or standing up, gently bending your whole body, then folding your knees,... can effectively reduce stress and burn fat.

Working out before sleeping

Gently having some simple exercises not only helps you burn the extra calories, but also gives you a good sleep. Many researchers have shown that working out with soft yoga steps or jogging in a short time will bring you a better sleep.

Gentle movements before sleeping are also the effective ways for overweight people to burn fat faster and better.

Exercising in the evening

You don't have enough time to exercise in the morning because you have to prepare for your job? Working in the office also means sitting most of the time and lacking of exercise? So the most suitable time for you to work out is the evening. Exercising at this time of the day can prevent many bad things like cramp, over stretched and sore muscles.

Exercising in the early morning

Getting up 30 minutes earlier than the other days and doing some exercises will help you blow your mind and start the new day with full of energy. This is the result of waking up your body properly and effectively. Morning is the best time when extra calories are burnt the fastest and the most effectively.

According to a study published in British Journal of Nutrition, people using the running machine before breakfast will burn 20% of extra calories in comparison with the ones having breakfast before running.

Morning is a certain time when your body burns more energy through sweat glands and your stomach will burn the amount of extra fat. Therefore, you can lose weight and decrease the blood lipids. You should also have some snacks before doing exercise to reach the effectiveness of weight loss.

Let's choose the most suitable time for you. Wish you success!

The Blueprint For Successful Weight Loss

By Phillip J Schiefer

If you have tried a fad diet, a fat burning pill or a workout video that promises rapid weight loss, chances are you are looking for instant gratification in a field where that is highly unlikely. Unfortunately, all the time effort and money you invested in any or all of those products could have been directed at a more effective solution. Before you get persuaded to try the next quick fix, consider the possibility of a change in your lifestyle. Manage your time better, set aside time for yourself, eat healthier and exercise. It's not a foreign concept and it will push you out of your comfort zone.

The comfort we have is because we have been removed from nature. There is no threat, no load on our bodies to keep us honest. Our bodies need to be challenged and removed from our comfort zone. Being comfortable means repeated movement patterns, long periods of sitting and immobility. These are factors that are detrimental to our health. They can cause poor posture, decreased range of motion and lack of energy. You can improve on these areas by making changes to your lifestyle.

Getting on a specific physical training regimen that is customized for your body and your goals is critical in these times. If you are overweight, then your body needs more mobility, more exertion and more exercising. Focus on circuit training with light to moderate weights at first. Train your body at least four times a week. In a one week period, you want to exert more energy on the majority of days. Aim to progressively improve the functionality of your body as a whole, without over exerting yourself. Each session should last from 30 to 45 minutes.

Furthermore, you want to execute proper form so you don't put yourself at risk for injury. Spend about 6 to 8 seconds on each rep to build your strength and stability. If you've never exercised before, consult a physician prior to any physical activity. Furthermore, if you don't feel comfortable at first, hire a fitness professional to assist you.

Don't rely on a scale and how many pounds you lose. Take body measurements, observe how your clothes are fitting you after a month of your new routine. Set realistic and attainable goals. Focus on losing two pounds a month or dropping an inch off of your waist size. Don't spend hours on the treadmills and elliptical machines. Use them as a warm up before you begin resistance training. You don't simply want to burn calories, you want to recruit large muscle groups and change the shape of your body. No matter your size or fitness level, there is always a starting point if you put forth the effort.

Change the mindset that expects a quick fix and expect a slow journey towards a healthy, new you. There is no magic pill that will give you the body you want. The fad diets are exactly that. Think about why there is always a new fad diet out that promises better results than its predecessor. There is no way to improve yourself if you don't push yourself. It will not be easy, it will be a challenge that you can conquer. If you expect anything, expect to reduce your risk of illnesses, expect to feel better about yourself and expect to improve your mood.

Focus on your health and fitness and the weight loss will naturally come. Think of your body as a long term investment, with the intent of keeping your body as healthy as your retirement account.

The Top Weight Loss Program Is a Healthy Weight Loss Program - Here's Why

By Stephen J. Winter, Ph.D.

So many people are looking for the top weight loss program. They are sick of being overweight or even obese. However, many of them are aware that some weight loss programs are downright unhealthy. So, they are also seeking a healthy weight loss program. What very few people realize is that the top weight loss program is, indeed, a healthy weight loss program. It is really possible to lose weight in a healthy way and, in addition, this can be permanent weight loss.

There are many weight loss programs out there. Most common is counting calories --- without paying too much attention to what you eat or, at most, keeping an eye on the USDA "food pyramid." In this case, you are apt to feel hungry all the time. This makes sense; a person following this diet might actually be starving himself. So, ultimately, he will give up and go back to eating what he did in the past (I will note as an aside that it is no fun counting calories either). Then, there is the high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet advocated by Dr. Atkins and others.

In this diet you essentially trade one problem food (sweets and starches) for another (fats). This does not make sense at all from the health point of view given the wealth of information available on the adverse effect of saturated fats on the cardiovascular system. In addition, throwing out carbs also implies throwing out all the vitamins, minerals, and trace nutrients associated with those delicious fruits you are avoiding.

So, what is the solution? The Paleo Diet! I will confess that I hate this name as it is not a diet; it is a lifestyle. And, lifestyles are what you should be looking for if you are seeking long-range health. Briefly, the Paleo Diet involves trying to eat the food that our hunter-gatherer ancestors ate thousands of years ago. Our genetic make-up has not changed since then and, if we would like to enjoy the health they did (Yes, it is a fact that these people were very healthy!), we should be eating what they ate.

What did these people eat? Very simple: fruit, vegetables, and fish or lean meat (Occasionally, I suspect that they ate some eggs or honey for a special treat!). Does this mean that we have to live like cavemen? Not at all! Meals centered on these foods can be just as tasty and satisfying as meals prepared using conventional foods.

Did you catch the fact that this diet does not include grains and dairy products?

That is correct. And, no matter what that food pyramid says, they are not essential to your health. They were not a part of the diet of our Paleolithic ancestors and are not eaten by the few hunter-gatherer societies that survive today. I spent many years living in the Pacific islands and these food items are not a part of the traditional diet of people living there. And, I believe that island people are certainly as healthy and attractive as people anywhere else on this planet of ours.

What can you expect to happen if you adopt the Paleo Diet lifestyle? First, you will lose weight --- perhaps a lot at first as many people experience rapid water loss when they start this program. Then, slowly but surely, you will lose pounds as your weight approaches the ideal for your body type. This is not a quick fix.

It is a permanent solution that will take a while to happen. But, it will. That is the most important thing. Second, your health will improve. But that is the subject matter for another article!

The Paleo Diet is the natural diet for human beings. It has been tested in nature's laboratory for thousands of years. People --- including me --- that use it feel good and are able to keep their bodyweight where it belongs. If you are overweight and are looking for the top weight loss program, look no further as it turns out that the Paleo Diet lifestyle is a healthy weight loss program too.

5 Ways a Bad Relationship Parallels Unsuccessful Weight Loss

By

There is nothing light about a bad or abusive relationship. And while I by no means want to trivialise this experience, it has occurred to me over the years that bad weight loss programs share some striking similarities with these bad/abusive relationships. Similarities, which, if taken with a grain of salt, expose to you why the ways in which you treat and view yourself negatively impact you from all ends.
Similarity #1: Control
This is really the crux of the similarities between these situations and something I will continue to come back to as I discuss the others.
Power and control are great traits in some situations, but when it comes to your relationships with others, or your relationship with yourself, they do more harm than good. Most ways of losing weight focus on control. You must control what, when, and how much you eat as well as where, when, and how much your exercise. The more control you exert, the more success you experience. Similarly, bad relationships usually rely on the dominant partner exhibiting control over the weaker one.
Similarity #2: Isolation
Feeling alone enhances control. Just as abusive partners try to isolate their victims to maintain their control so, too, do conventional programs for losing weight. You cannot go out to eat with friends or enjoy a party without feeling guilty and so you isolate yourself, maintain your bubble of perfection, and lose the best parts of your life, the people who truly care about you, instead.
Similarity #3: Rules
In both bad relationships and unsuccessful weight loss systems it is the rules that produce the control and isolation. You must comply 100% or risk 'failure' and harm. However, by and large, these rules are impossible to follow. They expect too much from you and breaking them only makes new, harder rules appear as you come to grips with your failure.
Similarity #4: Low Self-Esteem
Maintaining power and control is easier if the person being controlled doesn't feel good enough on his or her own. Usually people who end up in bad relationship or turn to radical ways to lose weight have low self-esteem at the outset, but it is made worse through the process. As you feel less and less able to 'make it on your own' the 'solution' becomes the abusive partner or program. Only through 'success', making them happy, will you be worthy. But that never actually happens. Instead, lowering your self-esteem only serves to reduce your ability to survive without the boundaries a person or program has set and keeps you coming back for more.
Similarity #5: You Cannot Live Without Them
Once the effects of low self-esteem drag you in, you reach a point where you cannot live without the approval, the actualisation that the bad situation provides. Abusers may literally tell you that you cannot make it on your own and so, too, do most weight loss programs. The problem is that your brain, a living, developing entity, cannot always distinguish these false claims for the hog wash that they are. So you start to believe the voices in your own head that inform you of just how useless you are on your own.
How to Make a Difference
Though the difficulty of walking away from a bad relationship is light years beyond the difficulty of finding a good weight loss system, the solution to both is the same. The only way to get help is to change yourself because you cannot change them. Good partners and healthy relationships exist, as do good, healthy ways to lose weight. You just need to gather the strength to go find them.

Weight Loss Motivation Will Work With The Correct Facts!

By

I would like everyone who reads this short article to just take a deep breath, relax, and think about what I am trying to relate to my audience. Does common sense tell you that I may be correct in my assumption?
As of today, the United States of America is the most obese nation in the world (some are saying that Mexico has now taken over that spot). So, if after spending billions of dollars by our medical communities and other various organizations, how can this statistic possibly be? Most of the experts continue repeating that Americans are not getting enough exercise and they are eating all the wrong foods. And this has been the continuing saga, over and over again.
We have weight loss clubs, fitness centers, health spas, and everything else you can imagine popping up all across the country. We have a continuing menu of new diet plans and formulas entering the marketplace in amazing numbers. We have more lotions and potions than there are people to use them all. Now, if you take a deep breath, you have to be thinking, so far we are right on the money with the facts. And all anybody wants, is the facts about anything. We just want the truth.
Now, we all would have to agree, for the most part, when we came into this world we were fairly healthy individuals and had all of our parts. We were not designed for the intake of drugs and medications to counter or alter the way the body was designed to function. Now medically speaking, it stands to reason that if the mother is perfectly healthy, the newborn child will also be in pretty good shape, health wise. Now if the mother is lacking in nutrition in any way whatsoever, than the newborn child will suffer in that aspect of health.
This is where we now have the start of the downward spiral of negative health conditions. And right at the top of this list is weight control issues. The best way to solidify this claim is to look at the child obesity rates along with the rest of the population.
So what does this have to do with weight loss motivation anyway? And here is where I want to make two very critical points. The cause of weight gain has nothing to do with the consumption of food or the lack of exercise! And remember, I said the cause.
The cause of weight gain is the lack of proper nutrition in the body. When our incredibly designed bodies lack the proper vitamins and minerals, the body will continue to search for them in the food we consume. And of course everyone knows by now what is in the food we consume! Without the proper fuel we need, the body will continue to crave foods. And there in lies the problem.
Once your body ingests the proper nutrition it needs, the cravings will diminish. The second critical point I want to make is that of absorption. The body must be able to absorb the nutrition at the highest level. So if I am correct, and you are truly motivated to lose weight, you must concentrate on the highest quality nutrition you can find, and absolutely make sure that you are absorbing the nutrition. And guess what? It works to perfection all the time. If you are motivated to lose weight and follow those two points, the weight will come off!!
I have been compiling some incredible health information for the past several months. I have continued to research and will add pertinent information daily. Please take some time and review this information.

Portion Control For Weight Loss

People are often so busy looking for the next "miracle" weight loss breakthrough that they completely ignore the time tested method of portion control for weight loss. As a society, we have grown to not only accept, but expect portions far larger than what we need, or have even had before. Let's take a look at how your can get your portions, and your weight under control.
For starters, let's talk about eating out. The majority or restaurants that you go to will bring you out a meal that is way bigger than anybody should be eating in a single sitting. However, we seem to have no trouble leaving little to nothing on our plate. A simple change to make is to ask for them to bring a to go container when they bring out the food. Before you even start eating, put half of your meal into the container. Not only will this cut your portion in half, but now it is like you are getting 2 meals for the price of 1. What a deal! That works great when you are eating out, but what about a on a daily basis?
The key is to not only shrink the size of your portions, but also to make sure that you are still getting all of the nutrients that you body needs to function properly. This is something that a lot of people struggle with. A lot of people simple limit their calories. That is a big part of weight loss, but I can limit my calories and only eat cheesecake if I want to. Will I get all of the nutrients that I need from that? No! To many people hear about people drinking diet soda and eating celery, or some other crazy weight loss recipe. If you are not getting the nutrients that you body needs, it isn't a safe way to lose weight. So, what food do you need to be eating in order to use portion control for weight loss?
There are 6 groups that you want to be consuming. Fruits, vegetables, proteins, carbohydrates, healthy fats and oils. SO many diets eliminate 1 or more or these. There is almost a hatred out there for carbs. You need them! Fat is a word that terrifies many people. You need healthy fats. The key is moderation. Think about a basic Tupperware set. Picture a small, medium and large container. You want to limit your seeds and oils to the smallest containers. Healthy fats, proteins and carbs each get a medium container. Fruits and vegetables get a large container. Keep your daily intake to those containers and you should effectively be able to use portion control to lose weight.
The easiest way to use portion control for weight loss is to follow The 21 Day Fix. This program was created by Beachbody and Autumn Calabrese, and is the easiest to follow portion control system that I have ever seen. In addition to that, it comes with some awesome 30 minute workouts to help you get maximum results. Learn more from My 21 Day Fix Review.

Successful Weight Loss Is A Mental, Not A Physical Process

By

Does that mean that if you want to lose weight all you have to do is meditate, or sit and think yourself thin? No, I'm afraid it's not that easy. But successful weight loss is not easy and imagining that it is, is the reason so many people fail at it.
Education is geared around examinations, but no one expects to pass an exam with just a few weeks work. The training for examinations is measured in years. The reward for the effort that goes into passing an exam comes in the years that follow.
Losing weight is about attitude, understanding your body, and most importantly, understanding your mind. It is about learning new skills, and undergoing training too.
If you are serious about changing your body shape and size then you need to take the whole thing seriously and, rather than jumping on the latest celebrity diet bandwagon, recognise that what you need is a lifestyle change. It's a bit like going to live in another country. They have different social rules and expectations, there is a different language to learn, and it will take a while before you feel part of it.
When you don't allow yourself the luxury of taking time to learn the new rules that will ensure your success - then you will fail. When you want it all over in two months - you will fail to keep the weight off.
There is no way round this.
The vast majority of people who diet regain all of the weight they lost, plus more, within twelve months of reaching their target. Around half of people who diet give up within a couple of months of starting.
The reason for this huge failure rate is twofold:
  1. There is a multi-billion dollar diet industry that needs you to keep on failing in order for It to survive.
  2. Unless you take the time to understand your body and your mind, you will never, ever keep the weight off for any length of time.
The diet industry needs your money. It is a huge business. The only way it continues to make money is by ensuring you fail. It cannot sell you a new diet every year, if you haven't regained the weight you lost from the last diet. It can't sell you club memberships over and over again, unless you keep failing. It can't sell you a magical new piece of hi-tech home gym equipment, unless the last bit of kit has been abandoned.
You are fighting this constantly. This industry bombards you with messages that cause you to feel uncomfortable about your body shape, and promises magical solutions that promise the world and do nothing. But you keep on buying into the diet thing, and the exercise machine thing, and the weight club thing because they tell you that that is the only way you can have the body you want.
It is a lie.
Michael Hadfield, author of 'How to Lose Weight Easily', has been helping people to lose weight for around 14 years. Watching this free video http://www.hypnosisiseasy.com/weightcd.htm is the first step you need to take in order to begin that process of understanding your body and how you can work with it to lose the weight you need to lose.

Diet and Weight Loss - The Next Best Thing

By
It seems like every day brings a new weight loss product, or "secret" way to lose weight revealed.

I don't know how old you are, but I am 68 years old and have been seeing this process for decades.

I have seen diets, pills, creams, and other weight loss products suddenly become popular and gradually die out.

Is it that none of these things really work, or do better weight loss options keep being discovered?

Well, maybe a little of both.

That's part of the problem, you see. Another part is, that if these things DO work, the claims made are often way more than what the product can actually deliver.

Let's look at three items recently mentioned by a well-known doctor on his show. These three items are garcinia cambogia, raspberry ketones, and green coffee bean extract.

At the moment, these are still pretty hot topics, although the claims have been around for a while, but the "next best thing", is right around the corner.

Garcinia cambogia is extracted from the rind of the tamarind. Claims are that the extract can help burn fat and prevent storage of fat.

Raspberries contain an enzyme, Ketone, which increases metabolism and energy, and helps burn fat. It takes a lot of raspberries to get any effect, but a way has been found to extract the enzyme and put it in a pill.

Green coffee bean extract comes from... wait for it... green coffee beans! It seems that roasting destroys most of the Chlorogenic Acid found in the beans. Studies show that this substance can help burn fat, AND have antioxidant qualities as well, which makes it a good general health product.

Now, the point here is, that like so many highly touted weight loss products of the past... and future, each of these by themselves can only do a small part of the weight loss process for those who take them. Even worse, while the studies which seem to support the claims made for these products, actually can be a little bit discouraging if you think about them.

For example, a study of one of these products indicated that the subjects lost an average of 17.5 pounds over roughly a three month period. This was accompanied by a reduction of overall body weight by 10.5 per cent.

This immediately sounds good, and I'm not knocking it. I could recommend a product with results like these, assuming that there are no other health issues.

However, let's look just a little bit more deeply at this information.

The overall, and average, weight loss mentioned are slightly less than one pound a week. Nothing wrong with that... especially if you consider that the subjects supposedly made no other changes in their lives. That's just a little bit less than what weight loss experts consider to be an optimum progression.

One thing of interest is that the subjects were all young adults and there were only 16 people involved. Something else to be considered is that this small group was split so that some got more of the product than others. The good news is that those who took the full dose are the ones who lost the most. Also, if some got more and some got less, and some lost more and some lost less, the "average" means that those on the full dose lost more than the 17.5 pounds.

For the most part, most of the studies used to back up claims made by most other products follow the same pattern.

Okay, so what's the problem?

No real problem. However, the same results can easily be obtained by most people simply by making a few simple lifestyle changes, such as decreasing sugar consumption and increasing physical activity. Another issue is that losing weight by restricting food intake, or redirecting the body's processes, often can result in loss of lean muscle mass... a result which makes the body a teeny bit less healthy and a bit more prone to gaining weight back.

If you look carefully, most of these products, somewhere on their packaging, or in their website or advertising copy, will have some sort of statement to the effect that the product works best when combined with regular exercise and proper nutrition. The bottom line is that, while these products might HELP you lose weight, you will lose MORE weight and build a healthier body by using them while getting regular exercise and eating more wisely.

At this moment, I am personally aware of dozens of products which all make just about the same claims. Those that DO work seem to work to about the same level. Probably, the next best weight loss product is going to do about the same. Whatever these products do, nothing as yet has been shown to work as well as a healthy lifestyle based on exercise and nutrition.

Maybe, after all, the next best weight loss product is actually the oldest... and the one that has been proven to work for just about anybody.

3 Factors For Healthy Weight Loss

By
Search online for tips on how to lose weight and you will get flooded within results. There are a lot of opinions on the matter, and most of them are a combination of 3 very important factors for sustainable living. You will find that amongst the most common you will find that you could lose serious amount of pure fat if you just rely on those common threads. It's with that in mind that the following factors should not be ignored, as it can be easy to forget how complicated life can be when you are going down the wrong path. The simplicity of adding Visalus shake mix to your start, can be the jumping off point to a healthier you.

The very first thing that most people do to make sure that they are successful with their healthy living goals is to set up a number. If you have a weight that you want to be at, and it's somewhat attainable, than by all means start there. Don't go extreme as you may find yourself wanting to be too thin. If you're not sure what number you want to be at, then consider what size clothing you want to wear and you will start to achieve greatness. Remember, without a goal, you will be just floating around with no real direction. Don't allow that to be the case.

The next thing that you need to do is start to think about what you're eating. If you're not eating healthy, then it's time to switch things up. Try to replace at least one meal a day with a shake, and you will start to diminish the calories that you're consuming. Replace 2 meals and you will start to see some good things moving forward. Try to test this out over time and enjoy a sensible meal and sustainable, healthy weight loss will be a lot easier overall. The major factor here is that you need to focus on food quality, and start a shake plan sooner than later.

The last factor that you need to consider if you're going to sustain healthy weight goals is to exercise.

Do not assume that you are going to have to put in hours on end at the gym, because you won't. Try to find 15 minutes of time in your budget for activity. Then slowly move upwards to more, and more.

The more you try start to move, the better off you're going to be, so do not neglect this opportunity.

The above factors are just a few things that you can do to ensure that you are living the good life, dropping weight and enjoy a healthy life. Remember, living this way is not a sprint, it's a marathon.

Take your time implementing changes and slowly move forward with the things mentioned here. If you take your time and you are diligent, you will see the pounds come off in no time. Just remember, if you don't see results on day one, that's OK, these things take time to manage fully.
